Bangkok – Nawarit Holdings PCL (SET: NAWA), through Nawarit Energy, has signed a memorandum of understanding with a US energy technology partner to develop 300 MW of solar-plus-storage projects in eastern and northeastern Thailand, with total investment of about THB 12,000 m.

The first 120 MW project, inside the Nawarit Chachoengsao Industrial Estate, will supply factories in the estate directly under long-term power purchase agreements. Construction is due to start in Q2 2027, with commercial operation in 2028.

Manufacturers in our estates want clean power around the clock. Storage lets us deliver that, and brings the whole group closer to Net Zero.

Pakin Nawarit, Chief Executive Officer

Key points of the partnership

  • 300 MW of solar capacity with 150 MWh of batteries
  • Nawarit Energy holds 60% and operates the projects
  • About 420,000 tonnes of CO₂ avoided each year
  • Funded through green bonds and sustainability-linked loans
